La Classique was started in 2007 by a group of enthusiast friends who decided to organize an adventure bike ride in the Lower Laurentians area just North of Montreal. During this inaugural ride approximately sixty riders, who came from far and wide across Quebec, braved one of three proposed loops in difficult conditions under an abundant and cold April rain.
Each adventure bike loop consisted of a different level of difficulty, from simple gravel road up to and including giant mud holes.
Regardless of the level of difficulty or the time to complete it, our enthusiasts had fun outdoors, some nice chemistry was developed and this is partly what defines the essence of this group today still.
Pleasure through adversity! Since then, new routes/loops offering different levels of difficulty have been created to please riders of any and all caliber.
From this ride, where few people new each other at the start, grew a camaraderie that eventually developed into a community of Quebec adventure riders. Actually, a number of principal actors of the inaugural ride then created a forum "RidAventure.ca". It has become the largest francophone site of its type for enthusiasts of adventure bikes in Canada. It is now THE reference for its community which counts today more than 9000 members.
This group is recognized by the values it promotes. Participation, teamwork, sharing, belonging, generosity, achievement and pleasure adorne its members and it's these values and these volunteers who in reality brought La Classique into being.

Here are three ways you can help:
(Most importantly) - Helping us the Saturday morning of the event. In essence you'll present yourself on site Saturday morning at 05:30hrs to give us a hand : greeting riders, having them sign the waiver and lining them at the approprite spots on the starting grid etc.;
Helping with site set-up and preparation (Friday);
Helping with various tasks within about a week of the start of the event;
Helping at the banquet dinner on Saturday night.
As a way of thanking you for your help, La Classique will offer you a ballot for a significant prize to be drawn with participation reserved exclusively to volunteers.
To sign-up, we need your contact information as well which day/days you're available. Interested? Write to us!
Heartfelt thank you friends, without you La Classique wouldn't exist!

Participants who wish to ride two up may only register for the "Panoramique", "La Classique" or the "Gourmande -Foodie's loop";
Note: Unfortunately requests to change teams in order to be placed on a higher difficulty loop will not be accepted.
Side-Panniers of any kind are not permitted. All participants who arrive with side-panniers shall remove them to be placed in the La Classique truck. Side-Panniers may be claimed at the end of the day.
A registration will be opened to the general public in order to complete the teams up to 10 motorcycles (including the leader).
La Classique organizers will not refund anyone who choses to cancel their participation (however nothing prevents you from making arrangements with the person who cancels up to May 1st, no replacements or refunds beyond this date.)

At the time of registration, participants will be able to choose a place in one of the teams having chosen their level of road and in which there are still places available.
The leader will then be able to contact him in order to become acquainted and to check if the choice corresponds to the level of his team.

Once a list of 500 participants (motorcycles) is attained and 100 quads, we'll start a wait list to a maximum number of 15 people per loop type;
All replacements will be conducted in priority sequence and by choice of loop type. In other words you'll be replacing a person who withdraws from the same loop type as you've chosen;
